CHLOE - BIg Update

For a number of reasons, I've decided to post the rest of CHLOE online in a single update. The entire 132 page graphic novel is now available for free! Nonetheless, you are encouraged to buy a copy of the actual book and help me continue drawing comics! Enjoy!

COCHLEA & EUSTACHIA - THE END

I believe this is the last page of the book. I may change the artwork for this page for the print edition. I haven't decided for certain. Let's wait until we get there.

I'll be spending the next few months preparing the book for the color edition to be released this Spring from Fantagraphics Books! I'll also be focusing on some top-secret side projects and commissions.

Despair not : I do have more C&E stories planned. I am also outlining another graphic novel. I may also attempt tackling Ectopiary again. Who knows what I'll do?

Thank you all for your attention. Please buy the book when it comes out, and tell your friends. Treat each other with compassion and think for yourselves!

My best to you all!

This does occur.

MORE PENCILS

Here are some more pencils from the current C&E story-line, and some side projects. I've been thinking about setting up a page on my website and selling these for $10 each. Anybody interested in buying one?

Here is the latest page of my comic. My apologies.

PRELIMINARY PENCILS of C&E

To decrease costs and tighten my comic pages, I've taken to pencilling the figures and other elements separately on cheap xerox paper, then using a light-box to transfer them onto the more expensive drawing paper before inking. As a result, my room has become cluttered with loose sheet of paper with pencil drawings of bald C&E's in a variety of poses.

Surprisingly, I managed to complete this page on time. It didn't turn out as well as I hoped. I think it will work better in color. Let's wait and see.

I don't think I ever got along this well with my own father.

Regular updates are back. However, the next page may take two weeks before posting. You will see why.

Developing Pimwit's Resurrection

Work on the house has momentarily ceased, so I am currently working on the next page of C&E. In the meantime, here are some scans of pencil sketches Pimwit's revenge-suit.

THIS

This is the reason why comics production will be slow for the next few weeks. My father's run-down shack (which I currently occupy) needs some work which cannot be ignored. I hope to get it done before September.  Between this and my crappy day-job, I will have little opportunity to sit at my drawing board for a little while. Please have patience, friends, while my own is being dwindled.

Sprung from the tiny nut-house into the larger one. The first panel from this page apparently inspired the tattoo posted below.  Due to my poor record-keeping skills, I no longer have the name of the person  who got this tattoo. If he/she is reading this now, perhaps they will speak up and resolve this mystery?

My dying computer and internet problems delayed posting this update last week. I am particularly proud of this page. I hope you like it, too.

It just occurred to me that in all of my graphic novels, the main character vomits at least once during the course of the narrative. Perhaps it's a natural response to being cast in a comic by Hans Rickheit.

C&E FAN ART by NICK MULLINS

Nick Mullins is one of my favorite living cartoonists. I find it inexplicable that no publisher has released a collection of his work. I am very grateful to have received this wondrous illustration. I urge you to visit his blog www.nijomu.com immediately!

My own hearing problem causes me to frequently ask people to repeat themselves. I don't understand why they get so offended sometimes.
